If you go to a specialist doctor for gel and filler injections, there is nothing to worry about, but in general, there are issues that you need to consider, such as when to do which beauty activity? What should be paid attention to before and after the injection? In this article, Dr. Leila Fard tells you that if you plan to do these 10 activities, you should be careful.
1- Dentistry
If you decide to inject filler and have to go to the dentist at the same time, be sure to do emergency dental treatment first because you should not have dental work (other than simple scaling) for up to 3 weeks after injecting gel and filler.
2- Eyebrow microblading
These days, eyebrow microblading has a lot of fans, and in addition to Botox, which eliminates forehead wrinkles, people are looking to shape their eyebrows. Be sure to inject Botox on the forehead, cheekbones, and corners of the eyes first, and apply microblading 3 weeks later when the shape of the eyebrows and forehead is completely clear.
3- Slimming diet and weight loss program
With weight loss, you need to keep your skin smooth and wrinkle-free. When you are on a slimming diet, you need to be careful that your skin does not sag. But you should know that at the same time with the slimming diet, for every 5 kg of weight loss, you need at least 2 cc of hyaluronic filler to compensate for the lost facial tissue.
Some areas of the face, such as the laugh line, cheeks, Marionette, temple, and around the eyes, become severely sunken as they lose weight. In this case, if you do not want this change to affect your beauty negatively, you can keep your face fresh by injecting gel and filler. In fact, by injecting a hyaluronic filler, you create a great scaffold for your skin and prevent it from sagging.
4- Rhinoplasty
It takes 6 months after rhinoplasty for the swelling to almost disappear. Therefore, it is not advisable to inject filler during this period due to swelling. If you decide to have rhinoplasty, do not inject filler in the laugh line, lips, around the eyes and cheeks for 6 months.
Keep in mind that Botox injections are possible 2 months before and 2 months after rhinoplasty.
5- Blepharoplasty
6 months after blepharoplasty and one year after temple lift, you can inject Botox if needed.
Fillers around the eyes, cheeks, and temples should be done either 9 months before the above surgeries or one year after.
6- Cheek and chin prosthesis
Be sure to tell your doctor if you plan to have surgery for a chin or cheek prosthesis. Some prostheses are made in such a way that fillers should not be injected on or around them. So be sure to ask your plastic surgeon about the type of prosthesis.
7- Orthodontic treatment
If you have orthodontic treatment, wait until the plaque has been removed to inject the filler in the laugh line, lips, marionette, chin, and both sides of the chin (jawline). Since the final shape of these areas will be determined after removing the plaques, the filler injection will be more accurate.
8- LASEK eye surgery
3 months before this type of surgery, Botox injection is no problem. 3 months after surgery, with the permission of an ophthalmologist, inject Botox to avoid dry cornea.
9- Pregnancy and breastfeeding
3 months before pregnancy, filler and Botox injections are not a problem. Filler and Botox injections are prohibited until the end of pregnancy and breastfeeding.
10- Eyebrow transplantation
Inject Botox 4 months before eyebrow transplantation. So when you want to transplant, the true shape of your eyebrows is clear. Wait 3 months after eyebrow transplantation to remove the swelling around the eyebrows and make the eyebrows look more natural.
